Together, we can ensure that the legacy of our firefighters continues to inspire and educate for years to come!
Apparatus

The Western Washington FIre Museum has the largest collection of Antique Fire Apparatus in Washington State, if not the entire West coast.  We have the majority of all of the major manufacturers represented.  There are also several rigs that are historically significant to the state of Washington, as well as a few "unicorns"!

Fire Service Antiquities

The collection contains much more than just Fire Trucks!  We have a wide array of Fire antiquities, including personal protective equipment, breathing apparatus, communications equipment, tools and equipment from throughout the last century.  We also have various generations of equipment from Fire Apparatus including lights, sirens and tools.

Hand / Horse Drawn

Though limited at this time, we have a few pieces that are both Hand Drawn and Horse Drawn and date back to the 1800's.  These pieces represent an important era in firefighting history.  This was some of the first mechanical apparatus used after the days of bucket brigade.  We hope to be able to expand our pre-motorized collection soon.

On the road again

We strive to take as many rigs out for drives, shows and events as we can.  The goal is to share the history of the Fire Service with as many folks as possible each year.  Keep an eye out in Port Townsend on days the weather is descent.  It is very likely you will see a rig or two out stretching their legs.
